About

I like seeing how the whole system fits together.

I work across the layers where infrastructure problems actually happen: operating systems, applications, network paths, delivery platforms, monitoring, and the automation that connects them.

Outside production work, I build and experiment with useful technology—automation, observability, AI-agent workflows, and occasional web interfaces when they solve a real problem. I am interested in the intersection of systems, design, and turning technical ideas into things that are clear and practical.

What I do

Infrastructure, from the OS up.

Linux, automation, monitoring, migrations, and the messy parts between them.

01

Linux & Production Infrastructure

Own Linux estates and production operations with a focus on stability, clarity, and maintainable operating practices.

02

Infrastructure Automation

Turn repeatable operational work into dependable tooling, provisioning flows, and automation using pragmatic scripts and configuration management.

03

Observability & Investigation

Build useful monitoring, investigate difficult incidents, and connect signals across systems so problems become explainable and actionable.

04

Application Delivery & Networking

Design and troubleshoot traffic flow, load balancing, DNS, network behavior, and application-delivery paths across infrastructure boundaries.

05

Migrations & Modernization

Plan and execute migrations with dependency analysis, staged cutovers, validation, and service continuity at the center of the work.

06

Resilience & Systems Integration

Improve resilience across high-availability services, email infrastructure, data platforms, and the integrations that hold systems together.

Work

How I approach infrastructure problems.

The problem, what I did, and what changed afterward.

Project notes

Protected-Network Infrastructure Migration

Moved production services into a protected network while preserving dependable access and coordinating changes across infrastructure layers.

Approach
Coordinated Linux and application-delivery changes through IP and DNS preparation, policy validation, staged cutovers, and post-change checks.
Outcome
Completed with minimal to zero noticeable user impact.
Stack
  • Linux
  • F5 BIG-IP LTM
  • Palo Alto policy validation
  • DNS

Project notes

Redis Sentinel High Availability for Moodle

Designed and implemented a high-availability Redis layer for a Moodle environment where continuity and predictable recovery mattered.

Approach
Designed the topology, implemented Sentinel-based failover, and validated application behavior and operational recovery paths.
Outcome
Improved service resilience and performance with seamless failover behavior.
Stack
  • Redis Sentinel
  • RHEL
  • Moodle
  • Monitoring

Project notes

Core Systems Migration: CentOS 7 to RHEL 8/9

Migrated critical services from an aging CentOS platform to supported RHEL releases without treating the operating-system change in isolation.

Approach
Assessed dependencies, rebuilt and reconfigured critical systems, coordinated validation, and handled staged cutovers and migration issues.
Outcome
Modernized core systems while maintaining service continuity.
Stack
  • CentOS 7
  • RHEL 8/9
  • Bash
  • Application validation

Personal Lab

Experiments with a practical point.

Things I build, test, and occasionally break on purpose.

Maintained Project

Monitoring & Automation Environment

An independently managed environment for custom checks, templates, triggers, notification flows, and automation experiments.

Useful automation begins with observable state, explicit failure behavior, and workflows that remain understandable after the demo ends.

Stack
  • Zabbix
  • Ansible
  • CIQ Ascender
  • Telegram
  • Python
Prototype

AI-Assisted Operations Investigator

A concept for combining monitoring context with agent-assisted investigation steps and structured operational evidence.

AI assistance is most useful when it narrows investigation and preserves evidence—not when it pretends to replace operational judgment.

  • Zabbix
  • Python
  • AI agents
Maintained Project

Multi-site VPN & Tunnel Operations

Automated VPN/tunnel operations, monitoring, inventory, evidence collection, and AI-assisted investigation.

Turned a messy environment into repeatable, observable, automation-driven operations with evidence.

Stack
  • Linux
  • FortiGate
  • GRE
  • OpenVPN
  • Zabbix
  • CIQ Ascender / Ansible
  • Telegram Bot API
