Hosting and logs

Vercel hosts this site, and Cloudflare R2 delivers some images and video.

To send a page or file, those services receive request details such as your IP address and browser headers. They may keep service and security logs under their own policies. Those hosting logs are separate from analytics.

Analytics

On the live public site, Vercel Web Analytics counts page views and Speed Insights measures browser performance. Neither runs on Preview pages or while I’m signed in.

Google Analytics is separate and optional. It stays off until you choose Accept. On the public site, accepting lets your browser send visit information to Google, which may set analytics cookies; your choice is stored in a first-party cookie for about a year. On Preview, analytics stays off and the test choice is stored only in this browser. You can change either choice in Cookie settings.

Language and theme

If you choose a language on the live site, it is saved in a first-party cookie for about a year. Your light or dark theme is saved in this browser.

On a first visit to the homepage, Vercel may send a country code based on your IP address so the site can choose an available language. I don’t request your browser’s location or save that country code.

Email links open your mail app; this site does not send or store the message.
